DESCRIPTION
The Whiteout Aluminum 197 is here! The 9:ZERO:7 197mm frame offers a
new standard for fat bikes. By going with a 197mm rear dropout spacing,
the frame will accept the widest fat bike tire and rims on the market.
While it works great with 4.8" tires and 100mm rims, the geometry of the
frame is designed to offer a superior ride with any rim and tire
combination (including 29+ rims and tires). The frame is also suspension
corrected for use with the new RockShox Bluto.
Because the 197 has a wider rear spacing, a wider chain line is
needed. If using a 2-ring crank, you'll want to pick up a new Race Face
crank for 190mm frames or other 190mm or offset double crankset. Like
previous 9:ZERO:7 frames, it is crafted out of 7005 aluminum and offers a
host of features to optimize your fat tire experience.
Starting with an elongated head-tube and longer chain-stays, the
9:ZERO:7 features six rack mounts, three water bottle mounts, fender
mounts, thru axels and full cable housing. The hydroformed top tube
provides unparalleled standover height without adding excess weight,
making it easier to get on and off the bike in soft snow conditions. A
hydroformed down tube is used to enhance fork crown clearance. The inset
tapered head tube is compatible with any fat bike fork.
Bottom
line...You get the performance of a 9:ZERO:7, with the tire and rim
flexibility of a Cirque Du Soleil dancer.
